In high school, I never dated, never went to the prom or really even had female friends. In college I was able to sort of get more friendly with more females, but I learned that you cannot be friends with girls, you are either dating them or you are not. I can't tell you how many times I thought the friend thing was going ok and then the girl would make sexual suggestions, etc. That took me so much by surprise that I basically ended those friendships. Maybe I was too hasty, as they didn't necessarily want sex, but just wanted to take the relationship to the next level. I wouldn't have sex until marriage anyway, which would inevitably be a problem for them anyway.
I digress. So when does dating and experiencing romance really begin? Is being 30 years old without any experience considered ';behind';? I would venture to say ';no'; as most of my friends and acquaintances are in the same boat as me. I bet most people my age, except for those that are married, have never had any real relationships or experienced romance either and the ones that say they have are just lying about it to sound cool.
What do you think? When does dating really begin?
Well, 30's the age to date. But having only gone on a few dates since 30? That's behind. Pretty really behind.
When you're dating people, its' just going out on dates. When you and somebody are dating, it's a chain of dates with only each other.
