Any tips on how to craft a romantic gift for my girlfriend?

My girlfriend's birthday is coming up. We've been going out for about three years. She's off to college this year, so for her birthday I want to give her something she can keep with her, which makes her think of us. My idea was this ';Relationship Box.'; Over the years we have written one another letters (anniversaries, christmas, birthdays, etc...'; Basically I want her to have a place to keep all of these things, and any other items which might help her to remember me while she is away. I have decided to get a pretty simple box. I'm going to decorate the outside of the box with photos and whatnot using mod podge. The only thing is... I'm not sure how to decorate it. I think I'll cover the box with pictures of us, inside and out. Maybe put some red felt down for the bottom. Maybe a poem on the inside of the cover. Any idead or suggestions would be GREAT! Thanks for all of the help!Any tips on how to craft a romantic gift for my girlfriend?
i think this is the perfect answer to your craft --

check out this link to make an Explosion box. it is boxes within boxes with photos [scrapbooking with a difference ;-)], And you get enough space inside to keep any little momentoes, trinkets, etc.

it has detailed instructions %26amp; pictures to take you through the process.

I think that a memory box is a good idea. Decorate it with pictures of you, or pictures of places you have been. It does not have to be perfect, or expensive. Girls go for all kinds of schmaltzy sentimental things like that. You will score major points with this box.
Look for cheap sheets on pretty floral wall paper and find a thin liquid glue and outline the whole box with it, or you can outline the box with sheet music of her favorite songs.
