In just over 2 months it is me and my girlfriend's one year anniversary, and I thought I would make her favourite meal for her (which is lasagne), but i'm a bit stuck on how to go about doing it.
Normally I would take her out for a meal, but instead I've booked a hotel for a trip to London (her favourite place) on a later date, meaning no full plans for the day itself. I also feel it would be more special if I made it myself.
Currently I'm still living with my parents so I have roughly three idea of what I can potentially do.
I could either ask my parents to leave the house (which may be unlikely, but one can hope that they will understand and do so).
We could eat the dinner I cook at the table while my parents are there, however that can be a major mood killer for the two of us, and I would not be able to put romantic music on and bring the romantic feel to the room.
Leaving me with my final option of setting up the dinner in my bedroom. My bedroom has fairly decent space, with a very relaxed feel to it (cream %26amp; brown colours). I'd make it romantic by putting a blanket on the floor with candles and rose petals. But would lasagne be difficult to serve and eat whilst on the floor? Should I cook her something different that may be as equally romantic? (Complexity isn't such as an issue as im training to be a chef at college right now)
Any suggestions would be great and really appreciated, as she's my first girlfriend that i'm this serious about, she told me her last boyfriend took her for a crappy pub meal which she had to pay for in the end. What would be the best way to set up a romantic dinner for my girlfriend?
Well Adam, just to know that you're putting this much thought into this really flatters me.
I couldn't care less what we do as long as I'm doing it all with you :)
I love you :D
(Your girlfriend :P) lmao! What would be the best way to set up a romantic dinner for my girlfriend?
i think having it on the floor is a really cute thing to do xD
or depending on the weather you could take her for an evening walk then go back to yours or go to a resturant? shes your girlfriend, think what she would like xD
or, dress up and take her to a fancy italian restaurant. it's your anniversary too, you should relax, and let others cater to you.
Your parents being there would totally kill it, even if you did have the dinner in your bedroom. Bad idea, but if she is like me she'd pretend to like it while being completely weirded out and uncomfortable. You could book a hotel and order room service.
You could have a really good friend loan you his apartment/house for a few hours.
You can do the lasagna picnic style. Cook it up, take it and eat outdoors.
I know all girls are different, but the bedroom thing with the parents still in the house would really not do it for me. And I am just about the least romantic person in the world.
Kudos to you for planning 2 months in advance. I didn't think guys like you existed.
mmmmmmm... if she can see your effort, i know she would be really really happy.. how about making a heart-shaped lasagne? hehe.. or putting something in it (necklace, bracelet) . my advice if you give jewelry, make it personalized.. with ur names.. it works! .. what matters is that the two of u are together,, alone.. how about making a short video clip of ur pics.. with your theme song.. ^_^ if you want i can do it for u just elt me know.. u still got plenty of time though... %26gt;_________%26lt;
